Sept. 26th & Aperture / Depth of Field

Focus:  Copy the following definition into Evernote.
Aperture - the size of the opening in the lens when a picture is taken. 
Be prepared to discuss the closure response from yesterday.  

Objectives:(Be sure that all of your objectives from previous days are complete before moving on to today's objective. FYI - Will be grading everything to date on Friday!!!)1. Choose your 6 best Angle of View photos.  Correct all 6 images.  Post them to the blog (blog post:  Angle of View).
Be sure to adjust :

• Levels
• Color Balance 
• Brightness/Contrast
• Hue/Saturation

(Your images should be realistic... in color & contrast.)

2. Update your Evernote if you have fallen behind.

3.  Correct 3 images in staff public>Cream>digital imaging>celebrity edits.  Save corrections & post to blog. (post title: Celebrity Edits.

Closure:  Explain Depth of Field in your own words. Don't know???  Review today's presentation.

Finished??? - Revisit your blog design.  Take off all unnecessary and distracting gadgets (games, fish, anything unrelated to the class).  This blog is to highlight your photography.  Simplify, simplify, simplify!!!

Aperture Assignment:

40 photos (min)

2 different locations

use aperture priority or Macro mode or portrait mode (if you don't have aperture priority)

don't forget to vary your angle of view to make more interesting photos 

Remember:  

f 2.8 = more light, shallow depth of field, larger hole (reduced ability to focus foreground and background at the same time)

f 2.8

f 22 = less light, great depth of field, small hole (greater ability to focus on background and foreground at the same time)
